This Privacy Policy describes how Archangel Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church (“the Parish,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when using the AGGOC Parish Hub mobile application (also known as “Archangel Gabriel Parish Hub”; referred to herein as “the App”).
The App is developed and published by Garden Gnome, LLC on behalf of Archangel Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church. The Parish is the operator and data controller of the App. Garden Gnome, LLC acts solely as the technical developer and does not independently collect, access, or use your personal information.

Information We Collect
When you register for and use the App, we may collect the following information:
- Name — your first and last name
- Email address — used for login and parish communications
- Phone number — optional; used for directory listings
- Profile photo — optional; displayed in the parish directory
- Household information — family unit groupings for the directory
- Involvement groups — ministry or group participation (e.g., Choir, Philoptochos)
- Push notification token — a device identifier used to deliver opt-in push notifications
We do not collect payment information, precise geolocation, or any sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to support parish community life:
- Providing access to the secure member directory
- Sending parish communications and announcements
- Enabling push notifications for events and updates (opt-in only)
- Organizing and displaying community involvement and ministry groups
- Administering your account and verifying membership
Who Can See Your Information
Access to your information is limited as follows:
- Other approved parish members can see your directory listing within the App. You control which contact details (phone, email) are visible to other members.
- Parish administrators can see all member profile information for the purpose of managing the parish community.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties, advertisers, or outside organizations.
Member-Controlled Visibility
You have direct control over which contact details are visible to other parish members in the directory. Within the App you can choose to hide your phone number, email address, or other optional fields from the member-facing directory at any time. Parish administrators will always retain administrative access regardless of your visibility settings.
Push Notifications
Push notifications are entirely opt-in. You may enable or disable notifications through your device’s system settings at any time. Disabling notifications does not affect your access to any other feature of the App.
Data Security & Storage
Your data is stored on secured servers and transmitted exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Profile and household photos are stored through Cloudinary, a secure cloud media service, and are not publicly accessible outside the App.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your information is retained for as long as you are an active member of the App. If you wish to have your account and personal data removed, please contact the parish office at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests in a timely manner.
Children’s Privacy
The AGGOC Parish Hub is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children’s profiles within a household are managed by their parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has independently submitted personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify members through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
